DRAWING THE PACIFIC BLUE LINE - CSFT STATEMENT

CIVIL SOCIETIES IN TONGA STANDS AGAINST DEEP SEA MINING

Civil Society Forum of Tonga and its members stand against the initiative of deep sea mining in Tonga's national waters, and any efforts of deep sea mining in the Pacific.

Blue Peril provides a compelling argument in stopping deep sea mining (DSM) before it starts. Blue Peril is the first science based visual investigation of the impacts of DSM in the Pacific Ocean to be conducted independently of the industry and the International Seabed Authority (ISA) that promotes it.
